The Clubhouse Red (Case)
£6 per case goes directly to YOUR club/charity.
We have added this new red wine to our squad as it is the Cuisset’s most popular red and is the result of Julien Cuisset’s expert blending of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot grapes. We are yet to meet a red wine lover who has not thought this red is worryingly drinkable! A balanced and fruity nose with hints of strawberries, blackberries and wild fruits. The palate displays soft fruity aromas and silky tannins and it has a long elegant finish, as is the norm for Cuisset wines. The Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc grapes compliment the Merlot base to result in wonderful flavours in your mouth. Serve whilst the barbecue is being fired up and with the resultant meat feast as well as with cheese and, of course, before, during or after watching your favourite rugby team.

Close to its more famous neighbour Bordeaux, the Bergerac region (also known as Périgord and Dordogne) is poorly represented in the UK nowadays and we think that needs changing as their wines are fantastic. The vines of the Cuisset family are centred around the small village of Monestier where vines have been planted since the Middle Ages (1053). Guy Cuisset and his sons, Gabriel and Julien, are expert fourth generation winemakers and have turned their whole estate over to organic production. They are innovators and are developing new modern strategies in the vineyards and the cellars including moving away from a reliance on the old AOC Bergerac rules (dating from the 1950s) as they deem these unsuitable for today’s climate, market and organic vine growing opportunities. The resultant wines that they are now producing are high quality and pleasing on the palate. There is further information on their new techniques here. Red wine fans will love this smooth, unique and very drinkable blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot.

Our subscriptions run for 18 months and all subscribers are able to buy the personalised home rugby wine rack at the discounted price of £99 in their choice of club or country colours.
